| Description | Tiny free floating plant. Soft, green fern like leaves turn purplish red in fall. Provides rapid shade cover in new ponds. Helps reduce algae. Will need to be controlled. Fish do not find them appetizing. To assure a quantity for the following season, winter a portion over indoors in an aquarium or in a shallow pan of well lighted water. |
